Course Updates
Planned Course Maintenance Monday 30th March - Friday 3rd April
During this week, our greenkeeping team will carry out essential maintenance to prepare the greens for the main playing season. Members can expect:
Greens maintenance works throughout the week
Possible temporary hole closures or course adjustments
Putting surfaces may be slower during recovery
Thank you for your understanding — this work is vital for peak summer conditions.
Course Irrigation Upgrade Underway
We’re delighted to announce a major investment in the future of our golf course, with a comprehensive irrigation system upgrade commencing on 6th February and scheduled for completion by the end of March.
The project includes replacing the ageing pump set, installing a new control system, upgrading all valve boxes on tees and greens, repairing or replacing irrigation heads on greens and surrounds, and improving electrical wiring across the course.
These enhancements will deliver more reliable performance, reduced downtime, and greater efficiency through automatic programming on all greens and selected surrounds. Additional hand-watering points will also improve coverage on tees and key “hot spots.”
A new Quadrop irrigation system will also be introduced to maximise turf performance. Benefits include improved rootzone porosity, more regulated grass growth, enhanced root development, prolonged fertiliser effectiveness, and reduced overall water and fertiliser usage. The result will be healthier, more resilient turf across the course.
Members can look forward to noticeable improvements in grass quality, firmer surfaces, and truer putting greens in the months ahead.
While some minor disruption may occur during the works, every effort will be made to minimise impact on play. Thank you for your continued support as we invest in the long-term quality and sustainability of our course.
Read the Course Manager's Blog Here for detailed insights into on-course work.
Winter Guidelines & Reminders
Winter Mats – Compulsory
Winter mats must be used in the general area of the course. All players must have their own mat before play.
Important notes:
Mats may be used on teeing areas
Putters may not be used when the ball is on a mat (Rule E-12)
All bunkers are G.U.R.
Buggy & Trolley Status
Please check the daily course status update each morning for buggy and trolley permissions. Before heading out to play, we kindly ask members to take a moment to review the contents of their golf bag. Please ensure you have everything you need for your round and remove any unnecessary items.
Pitch marks - Please Repair!
Greens are especially vulnerable in winter. Please repair your pitch marks — damaged turf takes much longer to recover at this time of year. Roped-Off Areas
Thank you for staying out of roped-off areas with trolleys and personal buggies. The course is holding up well because of your cooperation.
