As a dedicated golf coach, I specialize in guiding individuals and groups to improve their game. My approach centers around setting realistic goals and achievable milestones, ensuring that every student can progress at their own pace. I believe in keeping the coaching process simple and accessible, making golf enjoyable for everyone.
I hold a range of custom fitting certificates from Ping, Titleist, and Taylormade, and I am also GC Quad certified. These qualifications enable me to provide personalized equipment recommendations that enhance performance for golfers of all levels.
In addition to my coaching role, I actively compete on the Lancashire Tour, which keeps me connected to the competitive side of the sport and informs my teaching methods.
I am passionate about fostering a love for golf and helping others reach their potential, whether they are beginners or seasoned players.

Tim, a PGA Professional since 1994, began his career at Formby Golf Club and now coaches full-time at Hurlston Hall Golf Academy. With extensive experience, he delivers clear, data-driven coaching using the latest technology. His patient, straightforward approach helps players of all levels achieve consistency by simplifying the game and focusing on measurable results.
Danny Whitelaw
PGA Assistant Professional and Custom Fitter
Danny joined Hurlston Hall as a junior at age 8, sparking his passion for golf. After a successful amateur career, he earned a BSc in Golf Coaching and Performance while competing regionally and nationally. Turning professional in 2021, he continues to play in PGA events, securing one professional victory. Alongside playing, he specializes in coaching and custom fitting, using his expertise to help golfers of all levels improve their game and optimize their equipment for peak performance.
Paul Kinnear
PGA Assistant Professional
Paul turned professional in 2018 after five years with England Golf, highlighted by qualifying for The Open Championship in 2015. He has played on the Jamega, EuroPro, and DP World Tours.
A two-time PGA North Region Order of Merit winner (2022 & 2023), Paul also claimed titles at the 2023 North Region Championship and 2024 Leeds Cup.
Now in his third year as a PGA trainee, he has three years of one-to-one coaching experience and contributes to the junior academy programme.
