Hurlston Hall Hub July Edition
Summer golf is well underway, and July promises to be another fantastic month at the club. With the Club & Scratch Championships taking centre stage, alongside our Senior Team Open and another member's Divoting Evening, there's plenty happening both on and off the course.
As always, there's also the latest news from the Golf Shop, upcoming events, and everything you need to know to make the most of your membership this month.

The Longest Day Challenge
12 golfers took on one of the ultimate test of endurance — 72 holes of golf in a single day.
With a 4:30am start, four groups set off into the early morning on what would prove to be a memorable day on the course.
The highlights were plentiful, Jan Oldfield marked the occasion in style with a hole in one on the 2nd, and the Captain saved his best for last, finishing his final round with an eagle on the 18th, video evidence below. A fitting end to a remarkable day.
A huge thank you to all the players who took part, and to the caddies, marshals and helpers who made the day possible — your support throughout made all the difference.
To add a competitive edge, players also took part in a Stableford competition across all four rounds, and when all had settled the winners were:
1st Place - Debbie Ray
2nd Place - Chris Jones
3rd Place - Roy Nevin

Belated Father’s Day at Hurlston Hall
We wanted to take a moment to reflect on Father’s Day with a belated message from the Club.
This photo shows one of our founding members, Mike Durkin, with his sons — three generations brought together through their connection to Hurlston Hall and the game of golf. It’s a lovely reminder that golf is often more than just what happens on the course.
We’re proud that Hurlston Hall continues to be part of those memories.
Members Notices
CLUB NOTICE
Please be aware that our starters/course marshals will be on the course throughout the day and into the evening, checking on pace of play and ensuring member's guest fees are in order, please make sure you have your booking confirmation or receipt ready if asked.
Tee Time & Course Etiquette
To ensure a smooth experience for all members, please note:
• All players must have a booked tee time
• Please check in at the Golf Shop before play
• Guests must be checked in by a member
• Play to begin from the 1st tee.
• Tee Time Cancellation should be made as early as possible
Course Care Reminder
A reminder to all members please use the designated tee box steps and avoiding flower beds when moving around the course.
THE OPEN
Best of luck to all our members who will be volunteering as marshals at the 154th Open Championship at Royal Birkdale from 13th–19th July. We are proud to see so many members representing Hurlston Hall and hope you have a fantastic week.
Membership Renewals
