Park News May 2026

✨ May 2026  Newsletter ✨

🌞 Welcome to May at Hurlston Hall 🌞

Hello May! And what a welcome sight you are… longer days, lighter evenings, and hopefully a generous helping of sunshine!

The park is bursting back into life, flowers are blooming, and there’s a real buzz in the air as we head into one of the loveliest months of the year here at Hurlston Hall.

May is all about enjoying the great outdoors, good company, and those simple moments that make park life special (yes, even the first BBQ of the year—burnt sausages included!).

Inside this issue, you’ll find updates, upcoming events, and a few handy reminders to keep everything running smoothly.

Here’s to a fantastic May filled with fresh air, laughter, and plenty of good times at Hurlston Hall Caravan Park 🌞

🕊️ In Loving Memory 🕊️

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Derek Mansfield.

Derek was a familiar and friendly face around the park, and he will be fondly remembered for his classic cars,  warmth, kindness, and the many conversations and moments shared with friends and neighbours over the years. His presence will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

We would also like to remember Peter Hawkins, who recently left site prior to his passing, he will be fondly remembered by those who knew him during his time at Hurlston Hall.

Our thoughts are with both of their families and loved ones at this difficult time.

👋 Farewell & Welcome 👋

We would like to say a fond farewell to Kevin & Jan Vonbargen, who are leaving Hurlston Hall. We thank them for being part of our community and wish them all the very best for the future.

At the same time, we’re delighted to welcome Michael & Margaret to the park.

We hope you settle in quickly and enjoy everything Hurlston Hall has to offer. We’re sure you’ll receive a warm welcome from fellow residents and soon feel right at home.

🚽 Community Notice – Blocked Drains 🚽

We’ve recently experienced a number of blocked drains across the park, and most of these are avoidable.

Please remember:

  • ✔ Only toilet paper and human waste should be flushed

  • ❌ No wipes (even “flushable” ones)

  • ❌ No sanitary products, cotton pads, nappies or kitchen roll

A small bathroom bin makes a huge difference—thank you for your cooperation.

🚧 ANPR System Update 🚧

Issues with the ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) system are still ongoing.

We are currently waiting for the two companies involved to liaise and identify the fault.

Thank you for your continued patience.

📌 Please ensure you carry your fob at all times for entry to the park.

♻️ Food Waste Bins ♻️

Food waste bins are now located in the bin compound.

Please remember:

  • Use clear bags only for food waste

Thank you for helping keep the park clean and tidy 🌿
