Park News April 2026

Updated: Mar 26

Welcome to April — finally the better weather and lighter nights at coming. It’s nice to see the park starting to come back to life after the winter months, with more people out and about enjoying the longer days. Let’s hope the sunshine makes an appearance and we can all start making the most of the better weather.

I would like to thank you to everyone for the birthday gifts, card and well wishes for my 40th Birthday!!  I had a wonderful 40th birthday and really appreciate all of your kindness.

New staff Member

Some of you may have already spotted our new team member, Tom who has joined the park team, he will be working alongside Dave & George. I know you will all make him feel welcome, so please say hello if you see him around the park.

♻️ Food Waste Bins♻️

Food waste bins are now on site and located in the bin compound. Please make sure you use clear bags only when disposing of food waste. Your help in using the correct bins is appreciated and helps keep the park clean and tidy.

🎱 Bonus Ball 🎱

The Bonus Ball is run by Sue Maybury – HN19.If anyone is interested in joining, there are still some numbers available.

  • £5.00 payable (£1.00 per week)

  • Please see Sue if you would like to join.

🌿 Keeping Pitches Tidy 🌿

Just a friendly reminder that all pitches should be kept clean, tidy and reasonably weed free. This helps keep the park looking nice for everyone to enjoy.

The park team do cut the grass on and around the site and have their own routes planned, which fits in with their day-to-day and week-to-week jobs around the park. Because of this, unfortunately we are unable to take individual requests for grass cutting.

As we move into the summer months, the grass grows very quickly, and as fast as it is cut it soon needs doing again, so the team are kept busy keeping on top of the whole park. Please make sure all rotary washing lines are closed when not in use and plant pots on the grass are moved to avoid being damaged when the mower is being used.

We appreciate everyone’s understanding and help in keeping their own pitch neat and presentable.
